Color & Color Accuracy
Will my colors look exactly as they do on screen?
Metal prints are produced using a dye-sublimation process that infuses ink directly into the aluminum surface, which creates vivid, saturated color. Because every monitor is calibrated differently, the colors you see on your screen may differ from the final print. We can contact you to make sure you approve of the changes.
Do you offer color correction for custom uploads?
Yes, we do offer manual color correction services. If you have specific questions about your file, contact us before placing your order.
Finish
What does the high-gloss finish look like?
Our metal prints feature a high-gloss finish that produces striking contrast and brilliant, almost luminous color. This finish is ideal for vibrant landscape photography and dramatic imagery. Keep in mind that a glossy surface will reflect light sources — in brightly lit rooms or near windows, you may notice glare depending on your viewing angle and lighting position.
Is there a matte finish option?
Currently our metal prints are available in a high-gloss finish. Contact us if you have specific finish questions.
Image & Upload Requirements
What resolution do I need for a sharp metal print?
For best results, upload your image at 300 DPI which is recommended for the sharpest output. As a practical guide, a 24" × 36" print will require 600 DPI because low-resolution files will appear soft or pixelated at larger sizes.
What file formats do you accept?
We accept all kinds of image files including high-quality JPEG and PNG files. For best color accuracy, export your file in the sRGB color profile. Avoid heavily compressed JPEGs, as compression artifacts can become visible in large-format prints.
Mounting
How is the metal print mounted on the wall?
Each metal print includes a floating mount attached to the back, creating approximately a 3/4" gap between the print and the wall. This gives the piece a modern, gallery-style appearance. So all you need is a nail or a screw. In addition, we offer magnetic mounts ($4.99 extra).
How much weight can the mount support?
Metal prints are lightweight relative to their size. For specific weight and hardware recommendations for large sizes, please contact us so we can advise based on your wall type.
Indoor / Outdoor Use & Sunlight
Are metal prints suitable for outdoor display?
Our metal prints are designed and recommended for indoor use only. Prolonged exposure to rain, humidity, and outdoor elements can damage the print surface and hardware.
Can I hang a metal print near a window with direct sunlight?
We recommend avoiding placement in direct, sustained sunlight. Extended UV exposure can cause colors to fade over time. Bright indirect light or interior lighting is ideal for preserving the vibrancy of your print. If your space receives strong direct sun, consider UV-filtering window film or placing the print on a shaded wall.
Care & Cleaning
How do I clean my metal print?
To clean your metal print, use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth. For light dust, wipe gently with a dry cloth. For fingerprints or smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a small amount of gentle glass cleaner — do not spray cleaners directly onto the print surface. Avoid abrasive cloths, scrubbing pads, or harsh chemical solvents, which can scratch or dull the finish.
Will the surface scratch easily?
The dye-sublimation coating is durable for normal handling and display, but it can be scratched by sharp objects or abrasive materials. Handle your print by the edges or back panel to keep the face surface pristine.
